Lenovo intends to address the budget conscious with a line of lower cost laptops and tablets. Announced at the CES in Las Vegas, the two Flex laptops and Tab 2 A7 tablets are designed to deliver what appears to be good value for a low price. The S41 Notebook is an Ultrabook with a low price.
Tab 2 A7 tablets
The two Tab 2 A7 tablets are 7-inch models that have quad-core processors and Dolby audio. They are Android 4.4 (KitKat) tablets without high-end features but lots of capability for such inexpensive tablets. Lenovo claims they get 8 hours on a charge. Both Tab 2 tablets have low-resolution displays (1024 x 600). The primary difference between the two models is the integrated 3G on the A7-30. The 3G can be used for voice calling.
The draw of the Tab 2 is certainly the low price. The A7-10 will be available in January 2015 for $99 and the A7-30 in March 2015 for $129.
