Lenovo’s Motorola Being Groomed To Kick Apple, Samsung Butt in China

Lenovo knows a thing or two about rising to the top. Just ask every other PC maker on the planet -- by volume, Lenovo is the top supplier of PCs around the world, sitting on top of HP, Dell, and every other player. Samsung and Apple should take note of this, as Lenovo is turning its attention to the mobile market and has its sights set on China.

The company already has a mobile presence in China with its own branded devices, though with the $2.9 billion Motorola Mobility acquisition now complete, Lenovo is setting itself up to be a major force in the high-end handset market. Up to this point, Samsung and Apple have owned this territory.

Motorola Mobility boss Rick Osterloh told Reuters that it has high hopes of being success in China, which he noted is a big market.

"We believe that what we're really going to succeed in doing is hopefully take some share from other people in the [Chinese] market," Osterloh added.

The rule is applicable to each and every company, no matter if it’s Apple, Samsung or Nokia. The reason behind it is the innovative handsets getting launched every now and then. A few years ago, 3G looked like the future, but today, people are talking about 4G and 5G. As per the reports, Lenovo has come up with the cheapest possible 4G smartphone model called A6000. It won’t cost you more than Rs 6,999.
Flipkart becomes the distributor:
As of now, Lenovo has made this phone available only on Flipkart, the Indian E-Commerce giant. The company expects a huge demand of this phone; hence, it has decided to sell it through flash sale model. Consumers have already seen Apple and Xiomi opting for the same model to distribute their phones in the market due to a huge demand.

CES 2015: Lenovo releases budget laptops, tablets, and Ultrabook

Summary:Lenovo has been all over the CES in Las Vegas, announcing new products right and left. Today brought the launch of two Flex laptops, the Tab 2 tablets starting at $99, and the S41 Ultrabook.

Lenovo intends to address the budget conscious with a line of lower cost laptops and tablets. Announced at the CES in Las Vegas, the two Flex laptops and Tab 2 A7 tablets are designed to deliver what appears to be good value for a low price. The S41 Notebook is an Ultrabook with a low price.

Tab 2 A7 tablets

The two Tab 2 A7 tablets are 7-inch models that have quad-core processors and Dolby audio. They are Android 4.4 (KitKat) tablets without high-end features but lots of capability for such inexpensive tablets. Lenovo claims they get 8 hours on a charge.
Both Tab 2 tablets have low-resolution displays (1024 x 600). The primary difference between the two models is the integrated 3G on the A7-30. The 3G can be used for voice calling.
