iPhone 6s Rear Camera Rumored to Retain 8-Megapixel Sensor

iPhone camera module supplier Largan Precision is expected to face limited earnings growth this year amid rumors that Apple's next-generation smartphone will retain an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera sensor, according to Taipei Times(via GforGames). 

The report cites Taipei-based analyst Jeff Pu, who claims the iPhone 6s will have the same camera hardware specifications as previous models. Apple first introduced an 8-megapixel rear camera on the iPhone 4s in 2011 and used similar modules for the iPhone 5, iPhone 5c and iPhone 5s.

It's Apple's fault Nexus 6 has no fingerprint sensor, ex-CEO says

Former Motorola CEO Dennis Woodside says that his company had plans to add a fingerprint sensor to the Nexus 6 but that Apple acquired the company it was hoping to partner with.


iPhone maker Apple is to blame for the Nexus 6 smartphone missing a fingerprint sensor, says the former CEO of Motorola.






Dennis Woodside said in an interview published Monday in the UK-based Telegraph that Motorola -- which co-developed the Nexus 6 with Google -- had plans to put a fingerprint sensor on the back of the phone but that the idea was ultimately scuttled after Apple acquired fingerprint sensor maker AuthenTec in 2012.
