03.Red 04.Hat Introduces New Linux OS for Containers

The world’s largest open source software provider just brought a new operating system on the market. On Thursday, Red Hat, known for its enterprise distributions of the Linux operating system, launched its Enterprise Linux 7 Atomic Host OS. The new OS is specifically designed to run the latest generation of applications as Linux containers.
Linux containers are virtualization environments that allow organizations to run multiple isolated Linux systems on a single Linux control host. Containers introduce autonomy for applications by packaging apps with the libraries and other binaries on which they depend.
Container-based architectures can provide more development and deployment flexibility, while simplifying maintenance requirements and maintaining the same level of performance, stability andsecurity  as non-virtualized systems.
Enterprise-Grade Linux Containers

The new operating system will provide enterprises with the tools they need to build and run their own Linux containers, according to Red Hat. In addition, the company said its latest OS is built specifically with the needs of enterprise IT departments in mind, with enterprise-grade security, ongoing product upgrades, proactive diagnostics, and access to support.
“Red Hat is committed to offering enterprises a complete and integrated container-based infrastructure solution, combining container-based application packaging with robust, optimized infrastructure that will enable easy movement of Red Hat Enterprise Linux-certified applications across bare metal systems, virtual machines and private and public clouds -- all of this with the product and security lifecycle that enterprise customers require,” Red Hat said.

Galaxy S6 vs. iPhone 7: Camera Comparison

Rivals to deliver outstanding camera functionality in next-gen smartphone

Ever since smartphones first appeared on the market, one of the most important innovations included within them has been the camera. It was at one time considered revolutionary that people could carry around a device in their pockets which was capable of taking photographs, and at the same time making telephone calls and sending and receiving text messages.

Camera craze intensifies

Of course, this novelty has long since worn off, but the craze for taking photographs certainly has not. Indeed, given the overwhelming popularity of the ‘selfie’, and the growing significance of photo-focused social media sites such as Instagram and Snapchat, the importance of a smartphone incorporating an excellent camera has been if anything elevated.

7th heaven: iPhone 7 concept is everything you’re wishing for

Four months down the line, the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus still feel like new devices, but that’s not stopping enthusiastic, design-minded techies from creating concept showing how they hope Apple’s next generation iPhone will look.

This concept, created by Netherlands-based graphic designer Yasser Farahi, shows a sleeker iPhone with thinner bezel and profile, and a few of the less popular design features of the iPhone 6 taken out. Most enticing of all is Farahi’s dream of wireless charging: a technology which has been often rumored over the years, but not as of yet implemented by Apple.

Given that Farahi has chosen to name it the iPhone 7, this particular model would likely arrive in 2016, since this year will probably see the iPhone 6s, with the majority of changes being under the hood. Personally, I’m not mad keen on some of Farahi’s subdued color choices, but it’s still a tantalizing glimpse at what we could have to look forward to next year.

Check out more pictures, and a video, after the jump.

Huawei Mate7 compact likely to star at MWC 2015

As Mobile World Congress 2015 comes closer, rumors of what phone manufacturers have in store gain traction. The last one concerns Huawei and what the company has in mind for MWC 2015. According toHDBlog.it, we're going to see the company reveal a more compact version of the Ascend Mate7.

More specifically, the phone will have a 5.5" display, which will strategically position it between the Ascend Mate 7 and its 6" display and the soon-to-be-announced Ascend P8, which is believed to have a 5" screen.
The company is unlikely to reveal the aforementioned flagship at MWC 2015, since it is preparing a special event for the Ascend P8. Rumor has it, the event is going to be held in Europe in Q2 2015.
There are no specifications other than the screen size for now. The Ascend Mate 7 comes with a HiSilicon Kirin 925 chipset and a 13MP camera, so we guess Huawei could also be packing its mini version with similar hardware.
One thing is certain, don't expect a QHD resolution in the upcoming Huawei smartphone, as battery lifeis of top importance to Huawei's CEO.
