5 Tricks That Boost Your iPhone 6's Camera

The iPhone 6 and 6 Plus cameras comfortably rank as two of the best in the smartphone industry, according to analysts – as well as Forbes’ review team. But they’re limited if you want to consider doing something out of the ordinary – say, for example, printing out your favourite pictures immediately.





Of course, no one expects Apple AAPL +1.89%, or any other manufacturer to build this type of functionality into a smartphone. That’s what the booming third party accessories industry is for, to solve problems you never knew you had and enhance your mobile experience.






One area that startups are keen to add to is the iPhone’s camera, with endless accessories hitting the market and popping-up on crowdfunding sites. Some are excellent, some not so excellent. Some are innovative, some are tacky accessory tat. The list below, fortunately, is all about the former and not the latter. Here I’ve rounded up some of my favourite innovative tech projects and accessories for the iPhone 6’s camera.

Apps:5 Tips and Tricks to Get the Most Out of Pidgin

Heard of Pidgin? You should have. It’s one of the best multi-protocol instant messaging apps for Windows and Linux, and it’s open source. Pidgin includes some interesting plugins and features that you might not know about.

This article assumes you’re already familiar with Pidgin. We’ve covered Pidgin in the past, so check out our beginner’s guide if you’re just getting started with Pidgin.

Be a Psychic

Psychic mode is arguably one of Pidgin’s coolest plugins. The psychic mode plugin detects those “Your buddy is typing a new message” notifications, even when you’re not already in a conversation with your buddy. It’ll pop up a new window (or tab) when it does. If you’re quick enough, you can fire off a new message to your buddy before they finish typing their own, surprising them!

Just click the Tools menu and select Plugins to open Pidgin’s plugins window.
